The Library Catalog
An electronic library catalog is sometimes called an OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog). An OPAC is basically a computerized system for finding out what materials are owned by a library, the call number, location, and whether or not the item is checked out.
We are a member of a consortium (group of libraries) called SWAN (SouthWest Academic Network). SWAN is in turn part of a larger, statewide consortium called MOBIUS.
As a student, faculty or staff member of a SWAN institution, if you create a login, you may have access to customized features of the library system.
By logging in, users will not need to repeat validation for Web OPAC functions such as placing holds on material.
